The trip is at an end and I feel like I'm going to bring home a ton of great experiences. I started this trip not sure if Europe could handle me! I'm just about finished and now realize I can hardly handle Europe. The culture, language, and youth of Germany have made me fall in love with this country and I will definitely return.
On a more serious note this trip has also helped me grow (as cliche as it sounds). Being away from everything "own" in the States, be it my car or clothes have made me realize how attached I am to the physical world. Since my time in Europe I have realized that I should be attached to the abstract things in my life, be them memories or just past experiences. Having the latest in luxury electronics doesn't make me a better person. Truly finding yourself requires being by yourself. Its simple! Germany is so simple, the people so happy, and the culture so rich. If i can change somethings in the U.S my generation could create paradise. Germany is one of those things you cant really learn from a book. You have to drop everything and GO!
