Germany

I've been in Germany since Tuesday. Tuesday. It's already 22:38 Friday. How did this happen? I'm convinced that time doesn't work the same here. These past few days have been an incredibly exciting learning adventure. Thus far, today has been the best day of the trip. (However, last night I thought that day was the best day I've had here. So, I'm not willing to hand out the title of best night ever quite yet...) Today I got to spend the afternoon with Claire, Krystyn, Sandy, and  our international facetime partners at one of their apartments. We spent the time there making crêpes with popular chocolates in Germany and chatting about various things. I definitely think having the facetime partners has added another dimension to this trip. Being able to talk and share your experiences with someone from the country truly helps you understand their culture. I keep hearing the words our guide at the night watchman's tour said, "What you guys are doing (traveling abroad) is the greatest thing you can do for world peace" and thinking he's probably right because once you get to know some of the locals you realize that they're really not that much different.
